Six of the Wildest Bars in Fort Lauderdale for Spring Breakers

Congratulations! You've been working your butt off at the gym, picking out the perfect beach outfits, and eating healthy for what seems like an eternity, and now you've made it to the best week of the year: spring break. This week consists of road tripping with all of your best friends down to the beach and having some of the best and craziest times of your life. What happens on spring break stays on spring break.

If you're one of the many Boilermakers who have decided to take on Fort Lauderdale this year, you're in luck. I have compiled a list of six hot spots for you to party like it's the day before the world ends.

1. Elbo Room

This local bar has been around for generations. This makes the top of the list mostly due to its close proximity to the beach. If you're looking for a place where you can watch all the sorority girls strut their stuff in their swimsuits walking up from the sand, this is the spot. The speakers are always blasting and there are enough spring break specials to keep the fun going all night.

2. America’s Backyard

The name itself should tell you that it is indeed the perfect spring break hang out in Fort Laudy. Take an outdoor bar, throw in some Hula-Hoops, install an overhead sprinkler system, and you get this awesome venue to the crazy spring breakers of Fort Lauderdale. This bar experience is truly unique. The bartenders give away shots of the night's selected liquor of choice. The best part is that sometime around 2 a.m., the Hula-Hoops come out and the sprinklers come on over the dance floor. This is a bar you do not want to pass up.

3. Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Hollywood

The second you step onto this property, you feel like you've just stepped onto the Vegas strip. This bar is for the hardcore spring breakers that are looking for a full 24-hour day of debauchery. From poolside drinks to the sexy men-from-down-under shows, this place calls for a good time. If you're more of a risk taker, hit up to the casino for some gambling. With a pool, casino, and more than 30 bars and restaurants, there's something for every type of spring breaker at this Hard Rock.

4. Capone's

Walking into this bar is like partying with the cast of Jersey Shore. You know exactly what this means: loud music, fist pumping, lasers and strobe lights. You are likely to lose your voice from singing and shouting. The energetic atmosphere is a guarantee for a good time. The drink specials are too good to pass up at Capones. Check it out on Fridays for three-for-one drinks. By the end of night, you will be out shaking your thing and never wanting to come back to Purdue.

5. Briny Irish Club

Briny Irish Club is a local favorite. If you are missing your frat parties during this week, Briny’s is the place for you: sticky floors and good times. But people flock to this bar every night. Not only are the drinks on the cheaper side, they play all the songs you like to sing along with and this bar is bumping till the early morning hours. This is definitely the perfect bar to stop by on St. Patrick’s Day.

6. Beach Place

This wild little joint is guaranteed to show you a good time. This multi-floor bar has something for every kind of spring breaker. From taking shots and dancing all night on the dance floor to sipping on some frozen fruit drink, Beach Place is a must-see bar during your spring break. No matter what your taste is, you won't end the night disappointed. Or sober.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
