It's almost black Friday time, and you know what that means- buying the stuff you don't need just because it's on sale. But you can really buy anything you don't need at any point in time in the year, but I think it gets especially bad around the holidays. Here are my 6 tips for trying to stop spending money on useless things:

1. unsubscribe from mailing lists

If you don't see the sales, you'll feel less tempted.

2. Stay out of the mall and the stores

If you do have to go into a store, put your blinders on.

3. Stop buying coffee or lunch everyday

If you bring your coffee or lunch from home you're saving $6-10.

4. Take out $20 cash

This $20 is your fun money for the next 2 weeks (or whatever budget you're on).

5. Check your bank account every day

If you check your bank account every day to see what you've spent so far this month, you'll make yourself feel bad for spending so much on frivolous things. STOP THE FRIVOLOUSNESS IN 2020!

6. Put most of your money into your savings account

This way you aren't tempted to buy things just because you "have the money".

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
