Heat up this already hot holiday by incorporating these six trends in your Independence Day attire. These will allow you to come across as trendy and will also make an adorable Instagram post under the fireworks!

1. Freedom and fringe.

Add a fringe vest to your outfit, or even fringe summer booties. Either way, this trend is a fun way to incorporate a more bold look than your typical Old Navy tank top.

2. Red, white and blue jeans.

This is very traditional, yet cute and classic. Find some denim shorts paired with delicate lace or some distressed holes (something modest of course).

3. God bless America and flower crowns.

Bring out your inner flower child. Find a festive floral headband or flower crown. It is the perfect way to add a little pizzazz to your Independence Day attire.

4. "Oh, say can you see my nails?!"

Incorporate this theme into your entire outfit, all the way down to your nails. Use our nation's original colors, and add some glitter and bling. Whatever you decide should match your personality, and your outfit (of course).

5. Patriotic purses.

You know you will need to touch up that sweated off make-up. Carry your compact in a small leather cross body or a tote style bag for those that need a bigger purse. Throw in a bottle of bug spray for those southern mosquitoes and some sun screen to prevent some unwanted sun.

6. Star spangled shades.

No one wants squinted eyes in family pictures. Find some vintage sun glasses to add some spice to your look. Great for protecting your eyes and showing off your sassy side all at the same time.

Be the star of the party with some fashion forward details. You will literally make sparks fly! Have a safe and fun fourth of July, everyone!!

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
