Having a roommate in college could be the best or worst thing that has happened to you. I've heard plenty of horror stories and great memories people have about their college roommate. Here are a few things to keep in mind if you want to be a good roommate.

1. Clean

When you first move in together, you should all talk about a cleaning schedule and stick to it. Understand that people do have final papers or exams that could be in the way of your cleaning time, but that is also a time for you to take a 20 minute break from your chores. Another thing to keep in mind is to clean up after yourself. If you're going to make food, wash your dishes as soon as you can.

2. Guests

Warn your roommates when you're going to be having more than a few people over. If you're just hanging out in your own room, it's not as big of a deal as it is when you're having five or more people sitting in the common room making a racket.

3. Boyfriends or Girlfriends

If you're sharing a room with your roommate, warn them when you're going to be having your significant other over so that they don't feel awkward walking in their own room. Make sure they are cleaning up after themselves in the bathroom or kitchen areas especially.

4. Bathroom

Don't use half a roll of toilet paper in one sitting, and make sure you put another roll on when it's out. There is nothing worse than sitting on the toilet with no toilet paper because the last person to go didn't put another roll on.

5. Friendship

Try your best to be friends with them. You may just be acquaintances, you may be best friends, who knows? This experience isn't all about you. Think of others, not just yourself. You might make memories that last a lifetime.

6. Food

Don't eat each other's food. Honestly, try not to share food either. If you do that, one person will be upset that they're spending more money than the other person. It's really inconveient when you go to the fridge and the food you want to eat is gone.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
