They're always fighting and falling in love. No matter what they are always in love with someone, just like everyone else in the world.

As much as the world would like to think teenagers don't get pregnant they do. A LOT. It's unexpected and scary and mainly emotional. And secret life can teach us all about it!

3. Much like the real world, it's full of DRAMA.

Everyone sleeps with everyone, and people's parents are way too involved, and everyone is interconnected in some way, shape, or beautifully dramatic form.

4. MOLLY RINGWALD. LET ME REPEAT… MOLLY RINGWALD.

She is golden and perfect and will always be relevant.

5. They're all fighting their own demons.

They each overcome something. No one in the show has it completely figured out. It is a way to show us that it's okay if we're scared, lonely, or even mad. There is a lot of character development throughout the series just like throughout people's lives.

6. It's laid-back and hilarious.

It deals with current events and they even have cell phones (even if it does start off with flip phones).
