We can see the finish line. It is so, so close. It’s really too bad that to get to that finish line, we all have a million things to study for, two million things to write, and negative time to do so. This is a brutal week in the life of a college student, but there is hope! Here are some things that you can do to make the next seven days feel a little less like you are slowly plummeting off a cliff to meet your death.

1. Have a calming night in.

The work hard, play hard mentality is a great one to live by (most of the time), but sometimes after a long day of work at the library, the best thing to do for your mental health is to have a chill, treat-yo-self night in. Put on a face mask, watch your favorite show on Netflix, and commence forgetting about the stressful day you just had and the stressful day you will have inevitably have tomorrow.

2. Find a cute study place you actually enjoy going to.

The library isn't for everyone. There are so many places all over campus that are just waiting for students to cram in them. Madison is home to the cutest cafes imaginable. Find your favorite, grab a cup of coffee and a yummy baked good and get working in an environment that you actually feel comfortable in.

3. Make lists!

There is nothing better than the fulfilling feeling when you check something off of your list. Even if it's "get out of bed," being able to check something off of a list makes you feel super accomplished, and makes you want to continue feeling that accomplished feeling. Listing everything that you need to get done is the first step to getting everything done.

4. Exercise in the morning.

Yes, I know studying is hard enough and that working out is the last thing you want to do. But working out in the morning is the most amazing way to start off the day and will encourage you to continue being motivated and stay healthy throughout the entire day.

5. Schedule little things to look forward to.

You need to give yourself little rewards throughout the next few weeks to keep yourself mentally sane. Schedule dinners, coffee dates, brunch dates, movie dates—any little thing that will give you a reason to keep on chugging along.

6. Keep your room organized .

A clean home is a happy home and this is no different when it comes to your dorm room. Having a clean room will give you a clear mind and leave you with the peace of mind you need you be successful during finals!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
