6 Ways To Eat More Than Just Ramen Without Spending More Than $2

Freshman year is the start of a new adventure for a lot of people. A new school, new people, maybe even an entire new city, state or country for some! We make new friends, we adapt to a more independent lifestyle and we experience new adventures. But as we all know, the main struggle is trying to spend as little as possible to save the money we have. Trying to manage between a social life and school and the job(s) can get pretty tiring. So, here's a few tips and tricks on how to conquer college with more than just ramen as your 3 course meal.

1. Eggs

Whether you're at Walmart or Giant, their 18 pack eggs cost almost the same (about $1.62) So, grab a pack of those since they'll last you quite a while if you fry an egg and eat it with an english muffin.

2. Bread

Speaking of english muffins, especially at Giant, go to their clearance aisle where they put their fresh goods out for a real steal! Their english muffins go as low as $0.79! Grab a few of those, so when you get tired of instant noodles, you have a back up meal. Usually the breads put out for clearance are expiring soon, but don't fret! Simply keep the bread in the freezer and defrost them in the microwave whenever you feel like it.

3. Mac and Cheese

Not the boxed-microwavable mac and cheese, but the boxed mac and cheese! Just boil the pasta in a kettle and mix everything together in a bowl! Not only do these cost about $1.00, they can last you about 2 to 3 meals!

4. Cereal

Get cereal from any store you want, they all cost about the same! Though this might cost a tad bit more than just a dollar, the entire box will probably last you quite a while!

5. Milk

Half a gallon of milk only costs about $1.50 at Giant, so pair that with your cereal and add a little to your mac and cheese! Milk comes in real handy for the nights you can't sleep or when you have nothing to eat. Drink a cup or two of milk and you'll feel filled instantly!

6. Rice Paper Sheets

These cost about $1.62 at Walmart and they are life changing. Just dip them into warm water for a few seconds and you have a sheet to wrap your choice of veggies/fruits in! Aka, summer rolls (fresh spring rolls)! Either buy your fav veggies or grab some from your dining halls and enjoy this asian delicacy! Pro tip, if you're planning on doing this, get a bottle of peanut sauce and you'll never want to eat anything else. These will literally last you months!

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
