In a sorority you are able to meet so many talented and amazing young women, you would never think you would have the opportunity to. These women come from all over the country and even the world. They carry such unique, interesting perspectives and individual talents. In your sorority, there are certain personality types that you encounter on a day to day basis. These types of people are what makes you love where you're at.

1. The Grandma

She is usually a little more mature than everyone else in the house and has her stuff together. She is the one that will listen to all of your boy problems and tell you "You don't need Chad, from Sigma Apple Pie!!!" Additionally, when you come home after drinking a little too much she will be the one to take care of you and get you all tucked into bed.

2. The Queen of Crafts

You can usually find her in the craft room in the house working on a sheet sign for whatever social or philanthropic event coming up. She was the one that gave the most unique and original gifts to her little. You often times will look at the things she creates and wonders, how can someone make this out of ribbon and paint? This sister has probably had some say or even created the decor in the house.

3. The Future Doctor

This sister may not be the future Dr. Meredith Grey, but they are usually studying nursing, pharmacy, or pre-med. When you have this weird pain on your side, instead of Web-MDing the pain, and concluding you have a tumor the size of a golf ball this is the girl you turn to. She usually will respond "it is probably cramps," take some Advil and you will be fine.

4. The Coffee Lover

If you know this sister she probably has a least one large cup of coffee a day or more. You will catch her message in the GroupMe saying, "Hey I'm in the mood for Dunkin' does anyone want to go and tag along?"

5. The Intramurals Major

Their second home is the Co-Rec. They work out at least once a day, sometimes twice a day if time allows. This sister has probably played almost every intramural sport offered and coached a few teams here and there. The Intramurals major is not someone you would want to mess with because there isn't a doubt in your mind they could kick your butt.

6. The Life of the Party

"She has never crashed a party because she is the party."-Unknown

There is always that one sister you can't go a function without seeing. She can usually be found on an elevated surface shaking it like she just does not care. When she walks into a fraternity the brothers know her name. She brings the life to almost every party she attends. Her nickname when she was younger was most likely "Wild Child" and some may even say her middle name now is "Fun."

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
