Best friends are the siblings we don't share any DNA with. In many cases, we have more than one best friend. They're the ones we spend most of our time with and they're the ones we can be ourselves with 100 percent of the time. Without them, we would be lost.

1. The Lifetime Best Friend

This is the best friend you've know basically your entire life. You may have ruled the halls of kindergarten with them or driven your parents insane with all of the playdates and sleepovers. Even as you went on your separate paths as you got older, you still make sure your paths cross. You may not see or talk to this friend every day, but they have a special place in your heart and will for the rest of your life. You will forever be Day 1 best friends no matter what.

2. The "Sisters" Best Friend

You spend so much time with this best friend and their family that you are sometimes considered the extra child. Their home is your home, which means you are free to enter and exit as you please. There's always a place for you at the dinner table and movie nights just aren't complete without you being there. You get into small disagreements with your bestie but it's OK because, at the end of the day, you love one another unconditionally.

3. The Therapist Best Friend

This is your go-to person whenever you feel the need to vent. They listen to you, even through tears, and give you advice on how to fix the problem. They always reassure you that you'll get through the rough patches, and for that you are so grateful. Whenever you feel lonely or need someone to distract you from your thoughts, this is the person who will answer with some silly story.

4. The Straight-Forward Best Friend

This is the person you turn to when you need someone to be upfront and blunt about something. They tell it as it is and nothing less. While this seems like it can be a bad thing it's actually a blessing. This best friend puts you in your place with the classic eye roll but is always there to have your back when others are at your neck.

5. The New Best Friend

You've only known these friends for a short time and they've already become some of your best friends. You started your college experience with them, and you already know you want them there when you finish and continue on in life. From dinner dates to parties and even movie nights, there is never a dull moment with these girls.

6. The Ultimate Best Friend

This best friend is your "all of the above." They play all of these roles and they play them really well. They are your therapist, your backbone, your sibling, your person and your biggest fan. Without them, you wouldn't be able to get through your day. They remind you every day how important of a person you are, and they never let you forget all of the amazing memories you've made. They encourage you to be yourself. But most importantly, they love you and your flaws.

And this is just the beginning. Our friends bring so much excitement to our lives, and they are one of our greatest support system. Through thick and thin, you know they will always be there by your side. Can't wait for many more years of spontaneous adventures and endless laughs.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).
