6 Times That Dogs Melted Our Hearts

Dog are undoubtably a man's best friend. They welcome us when we come home, they hold their leash in their mouth until they convince you to take them on a walk, and they make the best buddy to cuddle with. They know just how to make us smile even on our worst days. They can even be the most inspirational and adorable companion. Just to prove it to you, here are 6 times that dogs melted our hearts.

1. The Heroic Service Dog

Figo, a golden retriever service dog jumped in front of a bus to save his blind owner. He took most of the impact and laid with his owner, who was also injured, until help arrived. Both the owner and Figo returned home after a couple months of recovering.

2. "Make A Wish" Dog Style

When Poh's owner discovered that Poh did not have much more time to live, he took him around the USA and visited 35 cities and travelled over 12,000 miles to make the most out of what time they had left. His owner created an instagram for Poh so everyone could follow their journey together. He passed away at the age of 17 on February 12, 2016.

3. Like Owner, Like Dog

Chance was hit by a car and became paralyzed in his back legs. His disability inspired his new owner, who was also paralyzed from the waste down, when he saw how Chance did not give up and learned how to use his wheels so he could walk. Chance and his owner continue to motivate each other to stay active and inspire others.

4. What a "Deer" Dog

Storm dove into the waters of Port Jefferson Harbor of Long Island, and saved a drowning baby deer. He took the deer in his mouth and hauled it to shore, saving its life.

5. Loyal to the End

When Navy SEAL, Jon Tumilson did not return, his dog, Hawkeye, still remained faithful to him. At his funeral, Hawkeye walked up the aisle and laid by the casket of his owner demonstrating his loyalty and love for his brave owner.

6. Forever Faithful

Some of you may know the story of Hachiko. Everyday he waited for his owner at Tokyo's Shibuya Station for his owner to come home. However, one day his owner suffered a fatal brain hemorrhage and did not return. But everyday he continued to go to the train station in his usual spot to wait for his owner. He waited for more than nine years for his owner until he passed away. Today in Japan, a statue sits outside the station in honor of his loyalty.

Dogs can be truly inspirational and make the most loyal and friendly companions. They love you for who you are and never judge. How did we get blessed with such an adorable and loving companion?

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
