Oh, shopping. What a wonderful way to spend your time.
Shopping can be a stress reliever for some or a major cause of stress for others. We experience all kinds of emotions and thoughts while we walk around the mall with our friends or parents. It can be a fun time or sometimes depressing. We all have felt what it's like to have a good shopping trip and a bad one. I think we can all agree that while shopping can bring us so much joy and happiness, it can also tear us down a little. Keep reading for some common thoughts that everyone has while on a shopping trip.
1. OH MY GOSH, a sale!
Who doesn't love a good sale at their favorite store? It's a four letter word used to lure us into the stores to spend your money, but let's be honest, it works! There is truly nothing better than to see a huge sign in the store window that screams "SALE."
2. Ugh, does this make me look fat?
Jean shopping is the WORST! Sometimes it takes days and plenty of stores to find the perfect jeans. Jeans have a magical way to question our body shapes and if we look good in them. Hopefully one day we will find the perfect fit that we never want to get rid of.
3. I like this shirt, and this one ... wait, look at those shoes!
It's easy to walk into your favorite store and immediately want to buy everything you see. They catch our eye, which causes us to spend the money. I certainly tend to have this thought while shopping at Target every time I step foot in there!
4. I would totally wear this all of the time.
This is a common mistake, at least for me. I always end up telling myself that I am gonna wear that shirt or those pants all the time, but they usually just end up sitting in my closet. When spring cleaning rolls around, you wish you had never spent those 20 bucks on something you thought you'd use.
5. Why is this so expensive?!
Price tags are so scary! We have all experienced that horrible feeling when you spot a really cute top in the store and you go to check the price and it's completely not what you expected. It definitely puts a downer on your shopping trip, but there's always something better than the next. It does cause a slight panic attack though.
6. But ... do I really need it??
This is the excruciating question that we all ask ourselves while we wait in line and contemplate every item we are holding. I never really know the answer to this question, other than buy what makes you happy! I honestly don't need some of the stuff that I have bought (at Target), and I could have saved a couple of bucks but oh well. What's done is done, no need to dwell on it!
