Sometimes when things get too hard, it becomes easier to give-up rather than pushing through and believing in the dream. For me, I have always been a big dreamer. I have always wanted to move to San Francisco and pursue video game production and film making. However, the journey there will be no easy task and there have been, and will probably continue to be, times when I wanted to give up. However, there are many things that you should never give up on.

Doing what makes you happy — It has become known that many people have become obsessed with the idea of money and becoming famous; however, you should never give up on doing what makes you happy. If you want to try and play video games competitively, then do that. If you want to walk dogs, then do that. The happier you are living your life, the better off it is going to be.

Dreaming — As a kid, you always are dreaming of what the future is going to be like. You should never stop that. Dreaming is a part of life that allows for you to strive for something. Dreaming is a way to escape the daily struggles that come with life.

Love — Yes, I know that the concept of love is unfathomable to some — I am one of them. For me, I don’t think that love is real, but I never want to give up on the idea that maybe one day someone will prove me wrong of that.

Friends — You should NEVER give up on your friends. Even if you and that person are fighting, you should never just say, “this isn’t working anymore,” The idea that you didn’t even want to fight to keep their friendship will hurt them. I am not saying that friendships do no come and go; however, don’t give up on them unless you tried your hardest to keep them first.

Yourself — The final thing: never give up on yourself. The minute you give up on yourself, the more likely you are going to be to give up on all of the things above. Even though sometimes you can’t figure out where you are going in life, and you are picking out all of these little things about you, you can't just give up.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
