Summer is quickly coming to an end, and with that we have the start of Fall. It is the perfect time to get a few things done before you break out all your Fall decorations. With Labor Day passing us by, before we know it we are going to be bundling up in scarves and jackets to leave the house. You don't want to get behind, so here is a list of a few things you should do before you realize Fall is halfway over!

1. Go Through Your Closet.

At the start of every season you have the opportunity to get rid of the clothes that you do not need/wear anymore. While there are some items that are sentimental, and no matter what you will never get rid of them, it is a safe bet there are a few items that you did not wear over the summer, and will not wear next year. Donate them or give them to your siblings/friends. This is also the time to start making a list of clothing items you need.

2. Fall Cleaning/Decorating

Just like in the Spring, it is the perfect time to clean your home! As you go along replace your daily décor with your Fall décor. You get two jobs done at the same time and your home transitions nicely from Summer to Fall!

3. Prepare Your Fall Bucket List.

There are so many activities that come with Fall: bonfires with s'mores, visiting the pumpkin patch, hot chocolate and apple cider, haunted houses, apple picking, corn mazes, trick-or-treating, nature walks, and so many more! You do not want to miss anything, so take a few minutes and start a bucket list of everything you want to do with your friends and family.

4. Update Your Planner.

With Fall right around the corner, that means for college students that the first round of exams is also quickly approaching. Make sure your planner is up-to-date, and that all your assignments are getting done. Set aside some time to study, hit up your local coffee shop/library, and make sure to ace those exams!

5. Finalize Any Fall Trips.

Fall is one of the best times of the year to go on a road trip. With the leaves changing color, the views you will encounter will be stunning. Make sure you are prepared and ready to go so you are not racing at the last minute.

6. Relax!

Take a few minutes and reflect on the amazing summer and year you have had so far. With fall arriving, the end of the year is fast approaching. It seems like just yesterday when the year was starting and here we are in September with school well underway, and the end of the year coming up in the blink of an eye.

What are you planning on doing this Fall?

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
