Ah Christmas time, from the balsa pine candles to the joy of family coming together and giving gifts - you can't beat it. For some weirdos, this time of the years is just an unwanted stress, for others this time is magical and fun. And for a select few, Christmas is too good to condense into a month, so we celebrate year round. Here are 6 things that the Christmas obsessed understand all too well:
1. Summertime sadness
Roughly around the end of June you start feeling nostalgic for those joyful and triumphant tunes, the cold weather and sweet and spicy baked goods.
2. Christmas music all the time
Whether you plug you ear phones in at night to get in your fix or turn the car on in a public place and little drummer boy is blasting on the stereo, Christmas music always finds its way onto your playlist, regardless of the time of year.
3. Fall = Christmas
Don't get me wrong, fall is wonderful - the leaves changing, the air cooling, the yummy foods and flavors, and even the holidays. Halloween is spooky and fun, Thanksgiving is heartfelt and delicious, but it is all is just preparation for the great holiday to come.
4. Christmas shopping starts in January
When one year is over and another begins, so do your plans for the following December. All year you are planning, crafting and collecting presents for friends and family, trying to find the perfect gift for everyone.
5. "The look"
You know, the look you get from people when you're caught humming Christmas music in August, or when it's October and your Christmas decor slowly starts to creep out. But, who cares if it isn't socially acceptable? It keeps you jolly!
6. Post-Christmas blues
When the stores are no longer covered in red and green and the streets no longer glow through the night and your heart feels sad. Yeah.. Post-Christmas blues are all too real and can only remedied by the anticipation for next year!
Merry Christmas, my friends:)
