If you love concerts, like me, then you know what you should and shouldn't do at a concert... Hopefully. However, there always seems to be those people who don't have a clue. For those of you who need a little help, here are six things not to do at a concert.
1. Don't show up late.
You'll likely be the last person in line, and you might miss your favorite band. (Also, good luck finding a parking spot.) You'll be at the back of the room, and what fun is it standing behind a tall person and having no view of the band you spent a fortune to see? None.
2. Don't be a crazy fan girl.
No one wants a crazy fan screaming, crying, and/or hanging all over them. Can you say unattractive? Play it cool. They're normal people just like you. No need to have an asthma attack because you just saw your favorite singer.
3. Don't get in front if you can't handle it.
If you can't deal with the non-breathing, closed in, pushed around, knocked over, and intense people in the front, then you might as well go to the back. Rock concerts get insane sometimes, but no one wants a person at the front freaking out because someone bumped into them.
You will get claustrophobic, and you may spaz out some when a person comes out of nowhere and kicks you in the head (it's happened to me plenty of times), but you just have to go with it. Crowd surfers will be crowd surfers. They don't care who they hit or where.
4. Don't get dehydrated.
You will get thirsty, and you will feel like you're dying if you don't hydrate. Try being at a concert for hours in a hot, sweaty room while screaming your lungs out to the song lyrics... You will fade very fast if you don't hydrate. Many people pass out because it's like being in the 100-degree heat all day with no water. Don't let that be you.
5. Don't wear uncomfortable clothes.
So many times I see girls in nothing but bras and tiny skirts or shorts riding up their butts. Does that really make you feel comfortable? Because it just makes me cringe. Don't try so hard. You're only impressing yourself. Wear a comfy set of pants or shorts and a t-shirt or tank, and wear some decent shoes. (You'll thank me later.)
6. Don't assume you have a front-row spot, even if you're VIP.
People will shove you out of the way to get to the front of the stage. You might be at the front at first, but when a heavy band comes, that front row spot might not be an option anymore. Concert crowds are vicious.
Overall, just be pratical and prepared. It will make the concert experience much more enjoyable for you and everyone else.
