As the world prepares to turn the page on 2016 and look to the future of 2017, it can often be an ominous feeling. Whether '16 was your year or not, the change of years can often lead to a mix of emotions ranging from excitement and hope, to fear when the ball eventually drops. This change not only brings a different number to be the tail-end of our daily date, but also can bring about many changes along with it.

6. Fads

With the new year will often bring a whole new set of fads that will help to define 2017 for the history books, as well as the dying out of the fads that defines the previous year. Although it may be difficult to say goodbye to the phrase "lit" as well as Pokemon Go, I am sure that 2017 will bring with it interesting new fads for us to obsess over

5. Fashion trends

The new year also offers a new opportunity to renew your look. The outfits that you lived in maybe a little too often the previous year will soon be pushed aside and replaced with your staples of 2017. Take the time to consider making a major change to your appearance to go along with the change in year (like finally having the balls to dye your hair red)

4. Relationships

The change in the year may also bring changes to your personal life. You might not be ringing in the new year with the same group you did in 2016, and the group you are spending it with this year may change again. The new year offers a time for reflection, as it opens you up for new people to enter your life, while also allowing you to contemplate your position with the people who currently are in it

3. College experiences

One of the most important things that a new year will bring to college kids is a change in classes. After the eventual conclusion of a long winter break, college students every where will once again leave their hometowns and return to school, facing a whole new schedule of classes, Although the course load may seem terrifying, it offers a new opportunity to continue learning information that will help in our eventual careers, and yes a new opportunity to boost that GPA! For me the new year will also mean that two of my college roommates will be leaving me to study abroad. Although this scares me I am excited to see how much we will all grow and change on our separate journeys.

2. Ambitions

The change of years brings about one of the best opportunity's to make those changes in your life you are determined to make, but often struggle in taking the steps to start the journey. Although making a new years "resolution" may seem cliché, it is the perfect time to set, (and hopefully stick to) that goal of loosing weight, boosting your grades, or just simply attempting to bring more happiness into your life.

1. 365 days

The most obvious thing that a New Year brings is a brand new 365 days. Chances are that you are not the exact same person you were a year ago, and in the same respect you will not be the same person you are today a year from now, as the events and decisions you make throughout the next 365 days will change you. Don't be afraid of this change. Embrace it.

Whether 2016 was the year you will always remember, or the year you'd prefer to forget, one inevitable truth is that like it or not, it is coming to an end. With this change it is the goal of many to reevaluate different aspects of their lives, and embrace the spirit of change that comes along with this holiday. So as we sit around with loved ones and count down the drop of that beloved ball, it is ok to reminisce about the previous year, but it is also greatly important to look forward to the new one. Hopefully a year from now people will look back at 2017 and be able to say "this was my year".

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
