6 Things I Love About Fall

From the beautiful autumn trees to the pumpkin flavored everything, Fall is a season of warmth and comfort. Here are 6 things I love about Fall, my favorite season of the year!

1. Colors.

Having lived in the Bay Area my whole life, I don’t see the beauty of autumn leaves to its full extent, but nevertheless the colors and the changing of the leaves are definitely breathtaking sights. I once visited Boston in the fall, and I will never forget the magnificent array of colors that could be seen.

2. Fashion.

Although everyone talks about spring fashion, I absolutely love fall clothing! Pairing cute sweaters with beanies, leggings, scarfs, and boots makes for the perfect outfit! The versatility and different styles that can be incorporated into your fall wardrobe makes it all the more fun.

3. Pumpkin Everything.

Pumpkin-spice latte, pumpkin pie, pumpkin-spice waffles, pumpkin flavored vodka. You name it, it’s there.

4. Halloween.

By far one of the most entertaining holidays of the year, Halloween, comes in the fall! Children walk around in their costumes through the chilly autumn night, while adults show off they’re humorous/scary side through various Halloween parties!

5. The Weather.

It’s not too hot or too cold, it’s just right. The autumn days are very varied, where you can wear t shirts or sweaters on the same day. In addition, nothing comes close to those foggy morning and slight drizzle of rain that we often encounter in the fall months!

6. That Cozy Feeling!

On a chilly fall evening, I love to just curl up in bed with a book and a nice hot cup of coffee. The warmth and comfort that comes with fall is definitely unparalleled.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
