I love Sewanee. I however, also love my pjs and I am forever envious of my friends at larger state schools who always talk about how great it is that they get to go to class in sweats and oversized t-shirts. Don't get me wrong, I love the concept of class dress and I agree that we should have it. But I can honestly say that when I am getting out of bed in the morning I never like it. Here are some easy outfit items that make putting on "real clothes" a little easier once we are all back on campus.
1. Dresses
No joke, dresses are a life saver (if its warm enough to wear them). I want to give whoever thought of one article of clothing to be a full outfit a giant hug. Dresses are a huge time saver and are (typically) super comfy.
2. Jumpsuit and Romper
For all reasons that a dress is amazing for class, so are jumpsuits and rompers. Less time figuring out an outfit means more time in bed.
3. Easy T-Shirts
Know that one t-shirt you have that you wear with every bottom you own? Yeah, stock up on more shirts like that cause you're going to love being able to throw it on and walk out the door without worrying if it matches the rest of your clothes.
4. Comfy Jeans/Shorts/Skirts
The gif says it all really. Nobody has the type of energy in the morning to squeeze into those stiff jeans that are slightly too small now from the dryers that magically shrink everything at school.
5. Easy and Simple Jewelry
Simple jewelry that you can grab and go without questioning if it works with your outfit is a must. Even if that statement necklace is cute, are you really going to want to figure out an outfit based on that at 7:30 when you're getting ready for your 8 am class?
6. Comfy Shoes
Everyone's scale of comfortable is different. If you can look like Tyra Banks while walking down University Ave in 6 inch heels then I don't want to be the one to stop you. But me, I'll stick to my flats for now. Just do what you need to do to keep your feet happy. (Trust me you'll love yourself for it in the long run)
