For most people freshman year is a big transition. You're doing a lot of things on your own, some for the first time. It's not uncommon that you call your mom for help or just things in general. So here are the top 10 reasons a freshman calls their mom.

A full cup of detergent is good right?

2. Expiration Dates

You're telling me that matters...

3. Cooking Instructions

How long do I put it in the microwave for again!?

4. Money

That text you get from Mom, "Do you know how much money you've spent this week?"

5. The Amazon Prime Password

Yes Mom I am for sure buying textbooks right now...

AND

6. When You Are Out of Food

Could you please send me some more Ramen. *Bonus because you also get mail*

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
