1.) Organizers!!

Of any kind. Closet organizers, desk organizers, storage bins, you name it. Pack it! It is easy to get disorganized in college. Whether it be your room or your studies, it is easy. So, make your life easier and stay as organized as possible. Studies have shown that the more organized your surroundings are, the more organized your brain is. And an organized brain is the best kind of brain!

2.) Acne medication.

Every town, every county, every state has different types of water and your face can break out easily when exposed to different waters. So bring some acne medication because you will already be under stress, which causes acne, so make your life easier and nip that zit before it hits!

3.) Mattress topper.

College dorm room mattresses tend to be highly uncomfortable and a good night's sleep is pertinent in college. So bring a mattress topper, even a cheap one will do better than just sleeping on the actual mattress. Everyone functions better with a good night's sleep.

4.) Shower caddy and flip flops.

These are more beneficial if in a dorm, but still relevant for an on campus apartment. It easily keeps all of your bath products organized and in one place. Flip flops keep your feet from getting nasty bacteria from other people on your feet.

5.) Yoga pants/ joggers.

Comfy days are the best days and sometimes wearing a pair of jeans is just too much effort. Plus dressing comfortable every once in a while has been proven to lower stress levels and keep a person more relaxed throughout their day. Dresses will also do the trick. No pants days are also the best days.

6.) Stationary.

Moving to college is another step in adulthood, and with adulthood comes sending thank you cards or get well cards, or just encouragement. I don't know, it's just what adults do, I guess. So stationary is a must when packing. Plus, at certain stores, you can find stationary kits pretty cheap so it won't break the bank.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
