I constantly listen to billionaires and life gurus talk about what makes them successful in all kinds of areas, yet a lot of what they practice is unreasonable to the average person like myself. Some preach to read an entire book a day and although that sounds like it will obviously enhance your intelligence and success, who really has time to devote hours a day to reading a book? I have found and incorporated six easy changes to my life that has made me feel a lot happier and aided me in achieving goals that I never thought possible.

1. Learn.

Knowledge is power and happens to be the main component of success. Watch, listen or read as long as you are gaining information. There a ton of YouTube videos dedicated to specific topics of information. For example, CrashCourse has a wealth of videos on topics such as US history and biology.

If you aren’t a reading buff then listen to one of the millions of podcasts about the success you are trying to achieve. If you want to be successful in real-estate then listen to a podcast on real-estate, watch videos on how to be a better realtor, and read a book that explains the housing market. Just constantly learn about what it is you want to be successful at.

2. Appreciate more.

In order to attain the success, you need to learn to appreciate. Now this means appreciating what you already have, the small things in life, and the people around you. Stop being angry that your car isn’t as nice as your friends and depressed that you didn’t get into that college you spent years preparing for. Learn how to become happy with where you are and what you have so you can grow. Appreciation clears your mind of bitterness and offers a clear spiritual lens to find the success you desire.

3. Work on your fitness.

Having a strong fitness regimen is very important for success. Fitness keeps your body in check, which raises self-esteem and keeps you healthy overall. Fitness even has the ability to work as a therapeutic technique. In fact, many athletes use early morning jogs as a way to clear their mind for the day and stay healthy at the same time. Partaking in a fitness related activity is important for success because it helps you feel better, relaxes your mind, and creates discipline which can carry over to other activities important to your success.

4. Be kind.

An act of kindness can go such a long way. Now I bet you’re wondering how being kind to others affects your success... When we are kind to others we create relationships. Think about it, people will choose to work with someone who is kind over someone only concerned with themselves. The kindness you show has a way of coming back and helping you out in one way or another.

5. Focus on nutrition.

What you eat impacts you in a variety ways vital to success in all areas of life. Poor diet negatively affects sleep, brain functioning, and can cause health problems like diabetes. A healthy diet, on the other hand, gives you more energy to work hard, heightens the focus needed to become successful, and even lowers the risk of disease. Proper eating supplies your body with the nutrients needed to achieve success keeping your body and mind in tip-top shape.

6. Leave your comfort zone.

Try new things – the experience and point of view you obtain by leaving your comfort zone can help you reach success in life. You gain new experiences that extend your arsenal of knowledge thus better equipping you to take on new challenges that make you more successful after completing.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
