It is about to be that time of year again, the dreaded finals season. The best part is, the reward for finishing is summer! The downside is you have to make it through this season before you can receive any rewards (aka sunshine and beaches). Here I have provided you 7 simple steps to surviving finals, happy finals season and good luck!

1. One word: coffee (and a lot of it).

I am sure not everyone likes coffee, but I feel even those who don't particularly like the drink are the ones first in line come finals week. Any drink with caffeine really is your bff, but just remember to avoid those energy drinks because all they do is rot your body.

2. Planning ahead

May sound like a hassle now, but in a few weeks when you are the only one out of your friend group not cramming the night before you will be ecstatic that you took this advice!

3. Organizing notes (and basically every piece of information for every class necessary)

Most finals are cumulative so organizing every piece of information from the class can help studying and finding crucial information SOO much easier! Help yourself out and get everything together now while you can! (and before you go crazy).

4. Sleep!! (it is your best friend in your time of need)

Most people pull all nighters during this time of year but I can assure you that that is most definitely NOT the best idea. Your brain works so much better when you are well rested so help yourself out and study earlier in the day so you can recharge your brain at night!

5. Switching up the scenery of your studying

There are so many different study areas at every school so there is no excuse! Sometimes changing up your study location can help you focus better and get out of your room more!

6. Let your motivation be knowing that summer is only a few exams away!

I know finals are terrible and draining but just thinking about how the summer is right around the corner should be fantastic motivation to not only finish the finals but finish strong! You have so much time to relax and do what you want so grind now and tan later!

Good luck with all your finals, you got this!

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

Because we made it, and because high school seniors deserve to know what they're getting themselves into

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
