It's the one week that everyone in the semester dreads... Finals week. We are all drowning in espresso and swimming in our textbooks. It's that time of year where students can openly sleep in the library using their textbooks as a pillow and no one is ever questioned. Here are the 6 stages of finals week:
Relief
The semester is almost done and you're thankful. One step closer to winter break and one semester closer to graduating.
Denial
You know you should've started studying well before the night before the exam. It's still possible to learn a whole semester worth of class in one night, right?
Panic
Time is running out and your anxiety is in full force. You've studied all you can study and all that is left to do is pray that you'll kill the exam.
Confidence
After a quick cat nap before your exam, you realize that you've got this. All those long hours of studying will pay off. You're smart and totally know what you're doing.
Panic again
You walk into the classroom and sit down in your desk. The teacher hands out the exam and it suddenly feels like everything that you've studied feels like it fell out of your brain. Take a breath. You've got this!
Back to relief
Finals are now over! Winter break has begun and that means you don't have to open another book until next year. It's time to treat yourself with a margarita and a Netflix binge.
