1. The Sleeping stage
If you're going on a long road trip that borders into double digit hours, chances are that you're going to leave bright and early in the morning. This means that the first couple of hours will probably be spent sleeping (unless you're the driver).
2. The I-just-woke-up-and-I-want-food stage
After a nice two or three hour nap, you're starting to feel a little hungry and ready for some food to fuel you up for a nice movie marathon.
3. The Movie Marathon stage
What better way to kill some hours than putting on a movie to pass the time?
4. The gas refueling and leg stretching stage
This is a combination of a bathroom break, stretching your legs, and accepting you're going to spend an eternity and a half in the car.
5. The eating-food-just-because-it's-right-there stage
All of us are guilty of this; we eat because there is food right in front of us and it tastes good. Are we hungry? Probably not.
6. The you-have-reached-your-destination- stage
It's probably one of the greatest feelings in the world; when you arrive at your final destination and don't have to get in the car for a while. You could probably run a marathon at this point because you're so happy you're there.
