Sad moments cannot always be explained. They come and go and can last worryingly long amounts of time. And it can be especially hard if there's no one around to cheer you up. Well, you're in luck! The internet has a solution for everything, including a source of solace for sad moments. Check out these six sites to turn that frown upside-down!

1. The Nicest Place on the Internet

This site is legitimately the nicest place on the internet. When you click on the site, you're greeted by a continuous video of happy smiling people offering hugs and love. People from all over the world can submit hugs to continue to make the site the nicest place on the internet. It's a great reminder that people, even those you don't know, care about you and want to offer you support. Share the love.

2. The Quiet Place Project

Take a break from all of the distracting elements of life and enter the quiet room. By gently press the space bar, you entire a site full of calming piano music and calming words. Follow the instructions on the screen to unwind, clear your head and take a break. The Quiet Place Project also offers projects to receive instant love, vent anonymously, get rid of unwanted thoughts and know that it will be okay.

3. Virtual Piano

Ever wanted to learn to piano but never had access to one? Never fear. Virtual Piano turns your computer keyboard into a piano. The site also offers sheet music written as keyboard keys to play tons of your favorite songs. Open the sheet music and Virtual Piano side by side to sight-read popular songs. You'll become a modern Mozart in no time!

4. Planetarium

Explore the stars anywhere with just the click of a button. Simply select a time and a place, and Planetarium will map out the stars on the sky on your computer. Planetarium will point out considerations and star names when you hover over them. Drag the cursor around to explore the sky in a way you never could before!

5. Orsinal Games

These cute games are guaranteed to put your mind at ease. Choose from over 60 games to pass the time and distract yourself. My personal favorite is Snow Bowling, a click game where you throw snowballs at unsuspecting ice skaters to wreak havoc.

6. Ana Somnia

Have you ever wanted to watch a dream? You can now with Ana Sonia, an interactive click story exploring the mind of a young girl Ana as she dreams away. Simply turn off the light and explore Ana's dreams, filled with both both beautiful and horrifying creatures.
