You're hooked, eyes pinned open at all hours by sheer will power - a force so strong, you cannot look away. A sensation builds in your stomach every time you see the next episode or the following season suggestion... Sometimes the click of the mouse ceases to take action and the next episode starts anyway. It's meant to be! Emotions soar, reality no longer matters, the characters in your real life are on the back burner and the only thing that matters is the action taking place on the screen right front of you, and the line between what is real and what is not becomes blurred. Whether it involves a series or a movie, a Netflix addiction can take many forms. And be quite serious.

Those late, sleepless nights are bound to catch up to you.

2. Anxiety

3. Aggression

Relax, the next season will come out sooner than you think.

4. Isolation

Who needs friends, family, school or work to survive? Netflix can be that all and more.

5. Emaciation

New way to lose that unwanted belly fat.

6. Urinary tract infection or bowel obstruction

Careful, you might miss something super important if you get up to use the bathroom! Rewinding or pausing it takes away from precious viewing time. There's only so many hours in the day.

*Disclaimer: Addictions are a very serious medical condition and should be taken very seriously. This piece was not written to make fun of this condition, it was meant to exaggerate the amount of time people spend on Netflix in a satirical way.
