Choosing what dorm you live in as a freshman is a big decision; there are so many options at Illinois. If you chose the six-pack, you made the right call. Sit back and reminisce about all of the great memories you had in the Ikenberry Commons.
1. Texting your friends what section you were sitting in at the Ike.
Because the Ike is the biggest dining hall in the nation, the seats are arranged into lettered sections and there's even an upstairs.
2. You probably worked out every day at the ARC because it was so close.
Here in the six-pack, you literally can't give yourself an excuse not to workout. A state of the art gym is just a two-minute walk away!
3. Who needs Starbucks when you have The Caffeinator?
You saved some time (and some cash) by not having to stop off at the Starbucks in the Union Bookstore before class! Thank you, Café Credits!
4. 57 was there for you when no one else was.
Whether it was your dinner before you went out, or your pint of ice cream when you stayed in, 57 was always there for you on those late nights.
5. Leaving five minutes before every football and basketball game started.
Shoutout to Memorial Stadium and the State Farm Center for being so close to the six-pack. You never had to worry about getting stuck behind the parade either!
6. Odds are, you were probably a social butterfly.
If you were lucky enough to score living in the six-pack, you were blessed with a social dorm. You always found yourself meeting new people!
Your dorm can make or break your freshman year, so stick with the six-pack and create lasting friendships and endless memories. Living in the six-pack will really give you the full college experience!
