6 Signs That You Worry Too Much

Do you worry often? Are you tired of people saying: "Just don't worry about it" or "Stop worrying about what others think about you" or "They aren't your problem: stop worrying". Me too. There are good and bad things about worrying all the time. Here are 6 signs that you are a worrier.

1. You replay everything in your head.

You remember sentences that you said from 10 years back and have to fight your brain to forget.

It is important to remind yourself that chances are, the people who you spoke to probably have no recollection of whatever you are stuck thinking about.

2. You can't stop talking.

The whole world is your therapist when you are worried. You have to tell every single person your thoughts and you have to repeat your words until you are understood.

And the problem is, after you talk: you cannot stop worrying that you said the wrong stuff. There is nothing much anyone else can say to make you stop talking either.

3. You worry about how others view you.

You obsess over first impressions and saying the right thing. You just want everyone to love you, but soon enough you will realize that is impossible.

4. Sleep? What's that?

A night with 5 hours of sleep is considered good. If you even make time to lay in bed, you constantly worry about the next day or what the future holds.

And there are nights when you cannot get yourself to go near the bed because you are frantically worrying about everything that needs to be done.

5. Your phone is your worst enemy.

You have spent hours opening and closing apps. You jump every time your phone rings and you worry every time you have to make a simple phone call.

If someone doesn't like your Instagram picture, you think they hate you.

If someone doesn't respond within 5 minutes of a text, you think they hate you. The worst is the wait as you watch the three little dots that show you that the person is typing. Your phone is one of the biggest distractions and worry creators in your life.

6. You are a pessimist.

You are constantly aware of the worst case scenarios. You stay up late at night thinking about the worst things that could happen.

You have a slight cough and are easily convinced by the WebMd symptom checker that you are seriously ill. It is natural habit to think of the worst and it is not always a bad thing.

7. You worry about others more than you worry about yourself.

You want everyone to be happy and when someone tells you their problems, you want to do everything in your power to help them. You sit and think about resolutions and you constantly check in on them: it is part of what makes you such a great friend.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
