6 Rock Bands You Need To Know About

1. The Record Company.

The Record Company is a three-member rock band that combines the sounds of older rock bands with a contemporary blues sound, making it the perfect band for you to fall in love with this summer. Their first album, “Give It Back To You” was released in February 2016 and it's amazing.

My Favorite Song:

2. Colony House.

Another trio, but with an indie rock sound, influenced by alternative rock legends U2. The Colony House is the perfect band to listen to while driving around on a sunny day, or hanging out with some friend on the beach. Regardless of what your doing while you’re listening to their music, I promise it will inspire you to smile!

My Favorite Song:

3. Atlas Road Crew.

If you like country, this band is for you. Their rock-country fusion will have you obsessed with their earlier work. If country music isn’t as much your thing, their album “Halfway to Hopkins” is the sound you’ve been looking for.

My Favorite Song:

4. Broadside.

If you are passionate about your punk rock, this band is most definitely for you! Their debut album "Old Bones" came out in 2015, and was most definitely inspired by the punk rock greats! If punk rock isn't really your thing, they've also recorded most of their song as acoustics as well.

My Favorite Song:

5. The Struts.

The Struts are an English band who debut album "Everybody Wants" came out in 2014. Their louder mouths and even louder personalities make them comparable to that of Queen and Aerosmith.

My Favorite Song:

6. Vista Kicks.

Their sound is a combination between the Strokes, the Arctic Monkeys and Kings of Leon - making the Vista Kicks the perfect new discovery for anyone who's a die hard alt-rock fan.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
