When Cory Monteith died in 2013, “Glee” fans were devastated. Monteith was about to get married to his on and off screen girlfriend, Lea Michele, and he was about to start filming season five of “Glee.” Three years later, Monteith’s influence and character continue to impact fans everywhere. Here’s why he will never be forgotten.

1. He was kind to everyone.

Cory Monteith was an extremely kind person both on and off screen. On screen, he played Finn in “Glee.” Finn was a quarterback on the football team, but he wasn't a typical jock who picked on other people. Finn stood up for the outcasts even if his teammates made fun of him because of it. Off screen, he was kind to everyone. He was always willing to lend a hand or give advice to people when they needed it.

2. He was goofy.

Unlike many celebrities, Cory Monteith wasn't hellbent on having a perfect image. Monteith accepted his flaws and he even laughed about them. He wasn't afraid to call himself awkward or too tall. He even admitted that he was a bad dancer. However, that never stopped him from dancing.

3. He was great at giving advice.

Cory Monteith always knew the right thing to say. He was wise when it came to life lessons. He knew that the key to life was being kind and appreciating what you have. Monteith was aware that life is short and it shouldn't be taken for granted.

4. He was smart in his own way.

Being smart doesn't mean being perfectly accurate. People can be smart in their own ways and that was the case with Cory Monteith.

5. He was a great role model.

Everyone has their demons. Even with his, Cory was a great role model. On screen, his character Finn showed that it's not OK to bully other people, and that there is no real definition of cool. Finn proved that it's better to be who you really are rather than trying to be someone that you're not. He showed that being yourself is the key to happiness.

6. He truly loved his fans.

Cory Monteith really cared by bout his fans. He never said no to taking a picture with a fan or signing an autograph for them. He always made it a priority to show his fans how much he appreciated and loved them.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
