The CW doesn’t get enough credit for the great shows it broadcasts: Supernatural, Gossip Girl, the 100, just to name a few. These shows and so many others have been loved for many years and by many people. One show that I recently started watching was The Flash. I had just finished watched Fox’s Gotham and my cousin suggested I watch The Flash. I thought, “Sure, why not?” I was the only person still at home for winter break and had nothing better to do. I very quickly fell in love with the series, and here are a few reasons why.

1. Grant Gustin. Period.

I don’t even know where to begin with him. I mean, look at him. He’s freaking adorable. He’s also an incredibly talented actor. Whenever he cries on screen, I die a little bit inside. I could fangirl about that for a while, but I'll leave that for another time.

2. The story.

I’ve never really been into comic books and superheroes. The most I’ve ever paid attention to them was a Batman movie a couple of years ago and the Andrew Garfield Spiderman movies. I’ve never really been invested into the story like I am with The Flash. Each episode keeps me wanting to watch more. The story takes twists and turns like you could never imagine.

3. The costumes.

Not even so much the Flash’s costume, just how all of the characters are dressed. Barry Allen’s wardrobe is even similar to that of Grant Gustin’s (which I think is awesome. bless you, costume designer).

Cisco wears graphic tees with b l a z e r s. His shirts in general are pretty cool. Also, every female character in this show is #wardrobe goals.

4. Detective Joe West

Jesse Martin is an actor I’ve liked since I saw him in Rent. When I realized who he was, I was even more excited to watch The Flash. Joe West is included in this list because of everything he has done throughout Barry’s life, for one. Joe took Barry into his home after the accident and raised him as his own son. Joe not only is a father to Barry, but he’s a partner and close friend.

5. Caitlin and Cisco

First of all, Danielle Panabaker – childhood! Anyway, Caitlin and Cisco stayed with Dr. Wells even after the particle accelerator exploded. They could’ve left but nope - loyalty. Then, when Barry becomes the Flash, they make up a crucial part of the team. In the beginning of season 2, it’s obvious that Barry would be nowhere without Cisco and Caitlin when he tries to go off on his own.

6. And last – but certainly not least – Iris and Barry *heart eyes af*

The relationship that Barry and Iris have is that “best friend turned love interest” relationship that everyone strives to have. If there’s any #goals ever, it’s definitely these two. Everyone says they want the love of their life to be their best friend. Where I am in the show, it hasn’t happened with these two, but I’m really rooting for them.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
