There are so many things in life that I am constantly confused about, but If you ask me about something that I'm one hundred percent certain of, it's that I'll never lose faith in God. No matter how much we try, the struggles of life cannot be faced on our own. I witness God work his wonders in my life each and every day, so I thought I'd share just a few reasons why I unapologetically believe in the power of God.

1. No matter how many times I’ve messed up, God has always been there for me.

I’m human and I mess up. I’m not perfect. No one is. I constantly make mistakes, day after day after day. Sometimes I make the same mistakes twice, and sometimes I don’t learn from my mistakes as quickly as I should. But no matter what, God has never let me down. Each day I wake up, He’s blessed me with another opportunity to get things right and have a fresh start. He’s my shoulder to cry on. He's my source of happiness and my best friend. He’ll never judge me, and for that, I am eternally grateful.

2. It’s easier to trust God than to worry about things I can’t control.

It’s exhausting to constantly stress about things that we absolutely cannot control. Life isn’t easy, and there’s always an uphill battle to face. We’re all going through something—no one has it easy, but I let God carry all those burdens for me, and when my head hits the pillow at night I can sleep happily knowing that He will help me through it all. Don’t believe me? Try it for yourself one day.

3. He believes in me when I don’t have the strength to believe in myself.

So many times, I let my negativity get the best of me. I constantly beat on myself for every little thing, but God sees my true worth. If I am ever upset I just have to think of Him and all of his goodness, and He’ll send me a positive thought or a signal to remind me to smile and let me know that He’s there for me.

4. I never feel alone, because He's always with me.

I carry God with me every single day. He’s always there in my mind and in my thoughts. You don’t always see the sun, but you always feel it’s warmth. Just like that, I feel God’s radiance surround me daily.

5. Everything happens for a reason.

When a misfortune happens in our lives, it is so easy to doubt God. We often forget that life is a learning experience for us all and that God is our trusty mentor through it. The obstacles that we face in life are our lessons, and they are what makes us grow as a person. Instead of asking "Why me God?" We should thank Him because He is the one giving us strength to overcome our battles.

6. God always has a plan.

We don’t always understand the way God works in our lives. Sometimes He pushes us to our limit, but that is because He wants us to know that we can confide in Him. Each time I’ve faced something difficult in my life, I’ve only come back from it stronger. God will not let you fail and He knows exactly what path you have to take in order to reach success. Just trust in His plans, and one day when you look back at all of your trials and tribulations, you’ll understand exactly why it had to be this way.

I hope my words and experiences can inspire each and every one of you to open up your hearts to God and trust in His mysterious power. He may not always answer our prayers the way we want Him to or at the exact moment in time we want Him to, but I promise, He'll never let us down.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
