6 Reasons Why Fall Is The Greatest Season Ever

The nights are getting colder and the days are getting shorter. There's a crispness in the air. The leaves on the trees are starting to change color, and pumpkin flavored everything is everywhere.

Yup. It's Fall.

Probably the greatest season of the four, Fall has many great activities and the like to offer. Here are 6 reasons why Fall, or Autumn if that's what you prefer to call it, is the best time of the year.

1. Pumpkin flavored everything!

Pumpkin pie blizzards, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin pie, pumpkin coffee, pumpkin donuts, pumpkin rolls, just pumpkin! It's everywhere and it's fantastic. It's basically only during this time that you can find this magnificent flavor, and you can find it basically everywhere you go. So enjoy it before you have to wait a whole year just to taste the sweetness that is a pumpkin spice latte.

2. You don't sweat the instant you step outside.

The humidity levels drop, there's an almost constant cool breeze, and the sun is far less brutal. Admit it: summer is just horrible because you don't even want to go outside. Now, you can go out and really enjoy the time you spend outdoors instead of dreading every second of it. And I don't have to reapply deodorant at least twice a day, so now I smell better and don't have to spend so much money on antiperspirants.

3. Fairs and festivals occur almost every weekend.

Seriously, you can't be bored during the Fall season. If there's something Fall-like to be celebrated, you can bet there will be a whole festival about it. Like near me is an Apple Festival, Buhl Day, community festivals, the Stoneboro Fair, and a whole bunch more. Car cruises take place at basically every event, and the food is just amazing. Apple and pumpkin everywhere!

4. Corn mazes are in full swing.

Who doesn't love a corn maze? Even my roommate who is very allergic to corn loves them. Around my area, there are lots of corn fields, so corn mazes are all over. You can easily find a different one to go to every weekend if you wanted! The designs that are made are incredible, like last year one was Jurassic Park themed. Crazy right? But you can run through the mazes as many times as you want, sip on some hot apple cider, and watch the sun set through the corn stalks that are towering above you.

5. Nature is in its most beautiful state.

There's seriously nothing more beautiful than western and central Pennsylvania in the Fall. The rolling hills are covered in trees, all different shades of red, orange, yellow, brown, and little pops of green from the pine trees, and the sky is the lightest shade of blue. Seriously, it's like something out of a painting. One of my favorite things to do is to take a day and just drive around, looking at all the beauty that nature has to offer. I can't tell you how peaceful and calming it is.

6. There are so many opportunities to spend time with your family.

I love the Fall because there seems to be many more holidays and chances to see my loved ones. The weather is perfect to have outdoor family gatherings and picnics and to go to the lake for the day. With the cold setting in, this time also reminds me of just how precious everyone really is and how important they all are in making me who I am. From Labor Day to Thanksgiving, the chances to be with your family are many and each moment should be cherished.

As it's clear to see, Fall is definitely my favorite time of the year. From pumpkin pie, to going to fairs, spending time with family, and enjoying the beautiful weather, there's not much about this season that I don't like (other than the ragweed which is in full bloom at this time, driving my sinuses nuts). So as the year winds down, grab some friends, put on a cute flannel, stop

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
