1. Holiday themed drinks.
While it may be basic of me, I am a huge fan of all the holiday drinks that come out during the fall. Whether it’s apple cider or a pumpkin spice latte, there is nothing better than sipping on a steaming hot cup of delicious cinnamon/pumpkin/apple goodness on a brisk October morning. It’s soothing for the soul and extremely conducive for admiring the foliage.
Speaking of foliage…
2. The leaves change!
Sure, who doesn’t love summer and spring when everything is green and lush? But once fall rolls around and the leaves begin to change, it makes even the most familiar of settings seem brand new again.
3. Football season.
No matter what sports team you support, you know football season has arrived once that first pre-winter breeze catches you off guard. And most of us are more than happy to swap our favorite tank and iced coffee for a worn football jersey and an alcoholic beverage. Sundays become special once more because you get to spend the day with your friends and family, cheering on your favorite team on the planet.
4. All the holidays!
Whether it’s Halloween or Thanksgiving, fall is the best time of the year for eating. Halloween is great because it’s the one night of the year that you get to be whoever you want, eat a sickening amount of candy, and have zero regrets in the morning. And Thanksgiving is always amazing because it’s a day for the three essential F’s: family, friends, and food-- and you can never get too much of any one of those.
5. The clothes.
Summer clothes are great and everything, but there’s only so many short and tank top combinations I can take. Autumn is the best time of the year because it’s not too cold that you have to dress like a marshmallow, but it’s cold enough for cozy sweaters and your favorite pair of boots.
And finally...
