Marvel has done it once again. From the opening credits until the very end of the movie Marvels' newest creation, "Deadpool," held my attention all the way to the end. Now, I must give a disclaimer and say if crude humor is not on your list of favorite things in this world, then this movie probably won't be for you. Honestly, this movie is one of the best ones I've seen in a while. I would recommend this movie to anyone who a) loves Marvel and b) has a good sense of humor and enjoys a good laugh. In case you haven't been convinced to go see "Deadpool" already, here are six other reasons why you should.

1. Ryan Reynolds

Do I need to say anything else?

2. Humor

Like I said before, if you don't like crude humor, you probably won't enjoy this movie. The whole movie is full of sexual innuendos and Wade Wilson's language is atrocious, but that only adds character to the movie. I personally love movies like this, and crude humor is right up my alley, so the more the merrier.

3. Action

If you like a good action movie, then this is the movie for you. There are plenty of violent scenes in the movie to defiantly fit the requirements for an action movie, however if blood and gore freak you out, I would say this movie probably isn't for you.

4. Breaking the Fourth Wall

The movie did a great job with interacting with moviegoers. It didn't feel forced, and the movie kept flowing.

5. Romance?

Is Deadpool kind of romantic? Sure... as much as Deadpool can be romantic. Wade Wilson's fiancée is the typical "damsel in distress" and acts as plot in the movie. The typical storyline follows the boy likes girl, girl is taken, boy goes to save girl, they kiss, yadda yadda yadda pattern, but it does provide a way to appeal to a wider audience, and who doesn't love a good romance?

6. It's rated R

For some a movie being rated R is a reason to not go see it, but for others a rated R movie means more action, more foul language, and what is a rated R movie without nudity? This movie contains all of that. Sure, I could have lived my life without seeing naked girls on the big screen, but Ryan Reynolds gave us an eyeful as well. Obliviously the movie is rated R for a reason, meaning this movie isn't meant for younger children.

All in all, I was very pleased with the movie, and it lived up to my expectations. I was excited to see this movie, and it did not let me down. Now is "Deadpool" a family-friendly movie and a movie for all? Absolutely not. But if you enjoy everything mentioned above then I would absolutely see it for yourselves, and if you don't believe be check it out for yourselves. Marvel really outdid themselves this time!

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever.
