Odds are at some point in your life you have watched the old Bill Nye the Science Guy. When the teacher wheeled in the TV cart at science time you were ready to shout: "BILL BILL BILL BILL!"

Well April 21st a grown-up version of Bill Nye the Science Guy premiered on Netflix, "Bill Nye Saves the World." There are thirteen episodes and I am going to give you six reasons to binge watch them all (because I already did)

1. It's All Relevant

Bill Nye covers things that are hot topics today. Everything from climate change, vaccines, designer babies, GMOs and more. Even if you already know about these topics, I guarantee you'll learn something, maybe even enough to debate them and educate others. He's explaining the gender spectrum in the photo above.

2. Celebrity Guests

Karlie Kloss, model and programmer, is a correspondent who goes on assignment in several episodes. Other guests include Zach Braff, Steve Aoki, Donald Faison, Rachel Bloom, Tim Gunn, and more.

3. Not so PG Bill Nye

It's hilarious and bizarre to hear sexual innuendos and adult jokes come out of Bill Nye's mouth. Rachel Bloom's appearance comes with a rather adult original song, nothing like the ones we remember hearing at the end of his old show.

4. The Panel

One of my favorite parts of each episode was the panel. Bill sits down with three experts, sometimes on opposing sides of the issue and they discuss. I loved the diversity of these guests and hearing so many perspectives on each topic.

5. The experiments

It wouldn't be a science show without some safety goggles and lab coats, right? From walking on hot coals to debunking alternative remedies the demonstrations definitely do not disappoint.

6. It's Bill Nye

I have never considered science one of my favorite subjects, but as you might remember, Bill Nye makes learning fun. Even as an adult I can appreciate his humor and the way he explains things and breaks them down. I was interested and engaged through every episode.

Get comfortable, blow off your plans, watch Netflix (like you weren't already) and learn a little something from Bill Nye. I will be over here waiting for Netflix to confirm three more seasons.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
