6 Reasons That 2017 Is The Year To Watch Baseball
Blogging 'Bout Baseball

In just 7 days teams and players will start their 162 day journey in an attempt to make the playoffs and a chance to play in the World Series. If you're like me, you haven't been able to stay away from baseball and you've been keeping up with your team and other teams in the off season. It's time to see which team did the most this post-season in preparation for the regular season. The best season of the year is just about to get underway and before the first pitch is thrown I'm going to convince you why baseball season is the best.

1. Baseball pants exists.

I mean, come on. You have to know that this draws some people into watching the game.

2. Baseball games are exciting.

Yes, there are nine innings and watching that can be boring, but you never know what's going to happen. Coaches or players can be ejected from the game. Maybe someone hits a walk off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning. Or maybe you catch the foul ball hit by your favorite player. Regardless, so much can happen throughout the duration of the game which makes it exciting to watch.

3. There is nothing like eating a hot dog made in a baseball stadium.

Hot dogs made in the ball parks are exceptional (unless you don't like hot dogs). Years of hot dogs have been made on the same grill which makes it that much better. Obviously, the grills are cleaned but you can never replicate the taste when you're grilling hot dogs at home. It just isn't the same.

4. The players.

Just like the baseball pants, the players themselves just draw some people into the game. I mean have you seen Kris Bryant lately?

5. The atmosphere in the stadium.

There isn't anything better than the electric feeling of the fans coming together to root for the same team. Whether your team is up by 10 or they need 3 more runs in the bottom of the 9th, the cheering and electricity in the stadium is contagious.

6. The World Series.

The ultimate goal for any team. Whether your team makes the series or not, baseball fans come together to root on someone to win. The series is the most thrilling time of the season, and while it means baseball season is ending, fans know that in three and a half short months spring training will arrive and baseball season starts all over again.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

In the 12 years since it went off the air, "Friends" continues to be adored by millions. The show that gave generations unrealistic expectations about love (or should I say lobsters?) and New York City apartments had a charming cast of characters that everyone could relate to at some point or another. Here are 17 times Ross, Monica, Joey, Chandler, Phoebe and Rachel accurately described life.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
