Waking up early gets a bad rep, but it shouldn't. There are many unique and wonderful things about the morning hours that can be appealing to everyone. Also, if you're already a morning person, then here is some logic I'm sure you can relate to.
1. Coffee.
Waking up before the sun can be a little disheartening, but a strong lively cup of coffee can work wonders. It is certainly an inspiration to set your alarm a tad bit earlier and hit your favorite coffee shop or simply brew yourself some love in a mug.
2. The Scenery.
Beyond just the obvious and overwhelming beauty of the sunrise, there is something beautiful and borderline magical about the outside world in the youngest hours of the day. The way traffic is slower in the city and the shops are quiet. Mist hangs on the trees and fills the small crevices in the hills. The spiderwebs carry their droplets of dew, and even though you may sort of hope the spider gets caught in those drops and drowns (or is that just me?), it's beautiful.
3. The Quietness.
Life moves so fast and makes so much noise. There are always some incessant leaf blowers (I'm against leaf blowing, I just don't support the industry), cars honking, and traffic signals dinging by the time 10 am rolls around. However, in the dear sweet hours between five and eight in the morning, the only dinging you have to hear is the well received notification from your coffee maker. As it should be.
4. Time.
Waking up early provides you with time to get ready without stress, study, do laundry, or take some much needed down time to think, write, read or catch up on your favorite shows. Taking some "me time" in the morning is wonderful because it starts off your day right and can empower you throughout the day.
5. Scheduling.
You don't need 27 hours in a day to get everything done; you just need an extra hour in the morning. Getting up early can alter your sleeping patterns, making it easier for you to sleep at night and to function in the late afternoon without a power nap. Having that time for productivity, breakfast and a chance to lay out your day can greatly improve your routine and make it easier for you to get more done without staying up until two in the morning. Also, on a practical note, there are far more resources that you can take advantage of in the morning and early afternoon for school, work and play than in the late night hours.
6. Coffee.
Yes, yes, I know we went over this earlier, but honestly, I cannot see any reason we wouldn't want to discuss it more than once.
