My best friends and soul mates.

6 Reasons To Thank Your Little Cousins
Cheryl Boag

Hey, guys.

What I am about to say is simple. Thank you. Being able to grow up with you guys by my side has been a blessing. I look forward to the future with you. I look forward to seeing you go off to your proms and graduate and go off to college. I am so happy to have you in my life. I am so happy to have been able to experience the little things with you. So thank you.

1. Thank you for being my first siblings.

Because of you, I had the chance to practice being a big sister. I was able to hold and care for you, and it made me a better big sister in the long run.

2. Thank you for the memories.

Sleepovers. Family parties. Birthdays. Graduations. You have been there for all of them. You have made those things memorable and fun. Thanks to you, I have made millions of memories that will last a lifetime.

3. Thank you for always being my friend.

I’ve definitely taken you for granted in the past. Having you meant having a constant friend. It was because of you, I always had someone who was always willing to go to the beach with me, see a movie and grab a bite to eat. There was never a moment where I felt alone or abandoned because you were always a phone call away.

4. Thank you for making “The Kids’ Table” a thing.

Without you, I would have to sit at the boring grown-up table. So thank you for making “The Kids’ Table” a thing. I would not know half of the jokes I do without you and the little table that we occupy at family parties. That table and the memories that were made around it will never die.

5. Thank you for taking the blame for things.

You may not remember it, but when you were little I blamed you for everything. Seriously, everything. You were too little to know any better and get in trouble anyway. No harm, no foul. But thank you for it anyway; it saved me from a lot of punishments.

6. Thank you for all the love you have brought to my life.

We aren’t corny people, so I mean this in the least corny way; I love you guys. I love that you are always there for me. I love that we can make any time a good one. You have seen me at my best and also, at my worst so thank you for loving me anyway.

Thank you for sharing your deepest secrets and accepting mine. Thank you for being a major part of my life. Without you, I know I wouldn’t be as happy as I am. So just know that you are all the best things that have ever happened to me. Thank you. Thank you for the greatest years of my life. I look forward to watching you all grow into amazing human beings.

I love you more.

Love,

Your Big Cousin

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
