6 Reasons To Date A Fraternity Guy

Dating a guy in a fraternity is much different than dating a regular guy. The qualities that fraternity guys have are far greater than any others.

1. Motivation and Dedication

The first thing that comes to mind that fraternity guys have is motivation and dedication. They're willing to go above and beyond for a brother. His brotherhood inspires you to put that effort into your friends. You see that he is willing to go pick up a brother who is too drunk to drive home, the dedication he puts in to his events, and the confidentiality he has to have. Fraternity boyfriends have so many secrets that are okay to have. Most boyfriends keep secrets from their girlfriends for bad reasons, but a fraternity boyfriend's secrets entail things that you'll never be able to know. They're dedicated to bettering themselves and the people around them through positivity, studies, and service.

2. Time Commitments

Fraternity guys are different because they have so many time commitments. Girlfriends have to understand that you will come second to a fraternity. Random things come up last minute for them and the plans you may have had for a week will just have to wait, but it's okay because you know that his brotherhood means so much to him.

3. Social

Fraternity boyfriends are so much more approachable altogether. You will walk around campus and they will be stopped by someone they know, time and time again. If you go to an amusement park, a big trip, or even just grocery shopping and they see someone in letters, you bet they're going to talk to them. Any event that is being put on campus, they're either going to be there, or you will be recognized as "so-and-so's" girlfriend.

4. Third Wheeling

Either you're the third wheel when he's meeting with his brothers or one of his brothers are the third wheel. Throughout these dates, you will become closer with his brothers and they will begin to feel like your own.

5. Secrets

Fraternity boyfriends know how to keep secrets. They have secrets that bind their chapters together that they can't disclose to anyone else and they're willing to keep your secrets, too. You can trust them with almost anything because anything you say to them is comparable to going into a lock box.

6. Service

The men that have joined their fraternity have dedicated themselves to service. Not only does this mean service to the community, it also makes them such selfless men. If you ask them to do anything as a boyfriend, or even friend, they will do it. Don't take advantage of their selflessness, they're such wonderful men.

Dating someone that's in a fraternity sounds like they're going to party all the time or be "too much work" at first, but after realizing all their amazing qualities and who they truly are, you'll see that they're so much more than that. There is no shame in dating someone who isn't a fraternity, those men may have these qualities too. But the men who have joined an organization and have dedicated themselves to something that means so much to them...that will shine through your relationship.

Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
