6 Things I'm Thankful For

As Thanksgiving approaches, we take the time out of our busy schedules to reflect on the things that we are grateful for. It seems as I get older, that the list of what I am thankful for grows longer and longer. I count myself a very lucky individual for many reasons.

Here are just a few:

#1 My loving family

Maybe it is because I have been away from them for a couple months, but this time of year really gets me thinking about how lucky I am to have two loving and supportive parents and a brother who always has my back.

#2 My crazy friends

Honestly, I don't know what I'd do without the crazy girls that have become my best friends in just a year. They make my life more interesting and are always there for me no matter what.

# 3 The ability to go to a great school

I am so fortunate to be able to go to a wonderful university like Marquette, where people care about me and I am able to get a great education.

# 4 My health

This might be the thing I am most thankful for. I am beyond grateful to be able to say that I am healthy and happy without any major complications in the past few months.

# 5 Marquette Basketball

It's that time of year! Marquette basketball is back and looking better than ever. It's time to put on your blue and gold and cheer on The Golden Eagles with your closest friends.

# 6 Good food

Even at college, I am thankful for the dining hall food as well as the cool restaurants Milwaukee has to offer and even more excited to get home to my mom's cooking.

Tamatoa created a liar filled with shiny things simply for the purpose of tricking fish to enter and become his food. He too experiences a lesson in how easy it is to be tricked by shiny things when Moana distracts him by covering herself in glowing algae so Maui can grab his hook.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.
