When summer started and I finally had the time to lay back and watch my long list of TV Shows, "House of Cards" was on the top. It was right after the first few episodes that I fell in love with Claire Underwood, played by Robin Wright is a super-villain from "House of Cards" who makes looking bad look so desirable.

She is the 48th First Lady of the United States, former US Ambassador to the United Nations, wife of President Francis "Frank" Underwood and the Democratic Nominee for the Vice Presidency. Until the movement into the White House, she was also the Chief Executive Officer of Clean Water Initiative until she gave it to her Office Manager Gillian Cole, after a nasty fight between Claire and her about Gillian's healthcare plan for her unborn child. Claire ended the argument saying, "I am willing to let that child wither and die inside you."

Here are six reasons why I love her:

*Beware of Spoilers*

1. She is a woman of Steel.

2. She is not sacred of speaking up against injustice.

We may have seen Claire being ruthless but the Petrov situation reminded us that, unlike Frank, she does have a conscious.

3. She is ambitious.

In the fourth season she says to Francis, ‘They won’t fall in love with us like that. But we have something they don’t: We are willing to go one step farther than anyone else.’ She has her priorities straight.

4. Her power wardrobe!

From slick tailoring and a palette that rarely veers from grey, navy or black, the First Lady’s wardrobe has become a sounding board for working women starved of sartorial inspiration for their 9am-to-9pm routine.

5. She is loyal.

It is true when Claire says that she made Francis the President of the United States. Without her help and constant support in both their political and personal lives, Francis wouldn’t have come so far.

5. She is a remarkable U.N Ambassador.

And the real-life U.N. ambassador Samantha Powe agrees with us. ‘She made a fine U.N. ambassador on the "House of Cards," she said on the Late Night Show recently.

6. The way she calls Frank by his full name.

Friendship. It's defined as the state of being attached to another person by feelings of affection or personal regard, but what really is friendship? Is it that occasional hallway talk with that one person who always manages to cheer you up? Is it that relationship you have with someone where they can be gone for a long period of time, but when they come back, it's like they never left? Is it spending every waking hour with someone, and knowing every detail about their life? Is it the relationship that's filled with fighting, but filled with even more resolution? I've learned that it's all of these things, and every friendship is different. It's a beautifully dysfunctional mess that should always be cherished and never be taken for granted.
