There's summer, spring, fall, winter, and Christmas! Christmas is a season all of it's own, or at least it seems that way at times. With every season, there are certain things associated with it. Here are six reasons why I love the Christmas season.

1. Hot Chocolate

I could honestly drink hot chocolate anytime of year, but it just seems so much around Christmas. Especially in a cute little mug with either marshmallows or whipped cream, cinnamon, or candy canes.

2. Fireplaces

Living in Southern California, my family and I never really need a fire until right around Christmas, if we even need it at all. However, it is a Christmas tradition that I love, and it makes the house much more cozier.

3. Christmas Lights

They light up the night and make the normal streets magical!

4. Baking

During the Christmas season, my mother, brother, and I make about five different types of cookies and occasionally a cake or two. The more the merrier in the kitchen!

5. Hallmark Channel Movies

They're so bad, they're good. They may be cheesy, and the plot lines may be predictable, but I love them nonetheless.

6. Winter Break

Or in other words, there's no school, I get to go home, and I see my family.
