We’re getting close to Thanksgiving, and that means everyone is getting anxious. Teachers everywhere are giving tests and projects, stress levels are increasing and we’re all ready for a real break. Here are some things to look forward to as Thanksgiving break approaches.
1. Food
A huge part of Thanksgiving is obviously the food, and the holiday wouldn’t be quite the same without the usual turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie. Get it all in while you can; it only comes once a year.
2. Family
You’ve been away for three months, so you naturally miss your family’s quirks and shenanigans. No one gets you quite like they do.
3. Friends
There’s no better time to story swap with friends than over breaks. Thanksgiving just isn’t the same without friends trying to one-up each other with their stories.
4. More food
You know the Thanksgiving meal is never actually over with only one meal. Thanksgiving leftovers are the best leftovers out there.
5. Sleep
You could probably sleep the entirety of Thanksgiving break and still be tired. Sleeping beauty ain’t got nothing on you.
6. Christmas
If you're anything like me when it comes to Christmas, you’ve been eagerly awaiting for the day when it becomes socially acceptable to roll out the carols, candy canes and decorations. That day would be the day after Thanksgiving. Time to deck the halls!
Let the countdown to Thanksgiving (and Christmas) begin!
