Thanksgiving break can bring out the best in us.

6 Reasons College Students Love Thanksgiving Break

Thanksgiving is just a few days away, and college students are more thankful than ever to have a break from the stresses of academic life. Here are 6 things every college student is bound to be grateful for this Thanksgiving.

1. Home-Cooked Meals

Nothing is better than coming home (or traveling to a relative's house) and eating a home-cooked meal.

2. Sleeping In A Bed That's (Hopefully) Not A Twin XL

I doubt anyone actually has a Twin XL bed away from their dorm. Thank goodness those guys are gone for a while.

3. Waking Up To A New Environment

If you live away from campus, you'll have a different view in the morning. I get to look at the changing colors in my backyard; it's nice to see something new for a while.

4. Spending Time With Your Pet

I missed my dog. A lot. Getting to lay with her in our living room is one of the most rewarding things about being home.

5. Visiting Old Friends

Unfortunately, I won't have this opportunity over the break, but Thanksgiving break can be a time to hang out with your hometown friends. Hopefully you get to see some old friends and have a Friendsgiving meal.

6. Black Friday Shopping

This isn't really my thing, but I know that a lot of college students look forward to snagging some deals on Black Friday. After all, it can become expensive to buy presents for your family, hometown friends, college friends, etc.

There are lots of things college students are thankful for year-round, but being on Thanksgiving break makes students more grateful than ever.

People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
