Nowadays it is highly unlikely for people not to have a cell phone, everyone has one and it is ruining people in various ways, this is eight different ways these devices that cant seem to leave our side are ruining us.

Dinner Conversations

Every day on campus I go to the dining hall with friends, and since I love people watching I always look around to see what people are doing and majority of the time people will be sitting at the table with their friends and be on their phones the whole time. If your going to be on your phone the whole time why don't you just go alone? People should eat their meal and actually talk to their friends instead of being so invested in what trending on twitter, or following that hot guy you met at the bar last night. Even on Thanksgiving all the kids (including myself) was on their phone and not enjoying family time.

Grammar

Because people are texting 24-7 we tend to abbreviate our words and sometimes when writing for professional setting we use our texting abbreviations and don't even realize it . I catch even catch myself when writing papers for school writing the letter "u" instead of actually writing out the word "you"

Meanings of Words

In texting we tend to use different words for different meaning like for example texting someone "Want to meet at 9 instead of 10?" you normally would normally expect the response of the word "ok" or "sounds good" some people would respond with "word" meaning "ok" so now does the word "word" mean ok?

Emotions

For example I am very sarcastic but when texting someone I don't know to well and trying to be sarcastic they might take it offense to what I say. This happens all the time and miscommunication or people can be misguided on what people say and what people mean.

Distraction

While trying to study for a test people always have their phones right by their side, and it keeps buzzing and buzzing with updates, texts, face book messages, friend requests etc. I see people in the library most focused in their phone then the actually book in front of them.

Relationships

Back in the day people in relationships wouldn't have to talk 24 hours of the day, the amount of time I hear people complaining about their boyfriend not texting them back soon enough or, that their boyfriend didn't call them last night is redic. You both are two different people with two different lives. Stop being so dependent on each other! Just because your boyfriend doesn't call you every night or text you all hours of the day doesn't mean he is ignoring you or that he doesn't love you, he is probably busy living his life which is what you should be doing

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
