From the cameramen, live bands, and celebrity guests, attending a taping of your favorite late night television show is a must-do. Not only are they free to attend, but this is your chance to get up close and personal with your favorite television host! Though many of the shows involve an hour or two of waiting and sometimes constantly refreshing your Internet browser, in the end, all the waiting and anxiety is worth it. Here are 6 reasons why you NEED to attend a taping of a late night TV show in your lifetime!
1. “There’s no business like show business.”
Seeing everything from the makeup artists coming out in the middle of takes to put a little extra makeup on the host, to watching the director do a countdown for the cameramen to start taping and for the audience to applause, being an audience member is very exciting!
2. You're in the same room and a few feet away from the person you’ve watched on TV for the past couple of years! #fangirling
Your dreams of seeing your TV hero in person and potentially interacting with them come true.
3. All the questions you had while watching the show from home are answered.
How big is the studio? How tall is he/she in real life? Being in the actual studio during taping, you really get to experience how crew and staff members work hard to produce the end product you end up watching! Yes, even seeing the employees who have to vacuum and straighten up your favorite hosts’ desk is exciting.
4. You get to LOL as much as you want.
The more you LOL, the better! For many shows, laughing tracks are not used and it's up to you and other audience members to laugh at jokes during the show!
5. You’ve contributed to something.
Whether you believe it or not, these shows would not be anything without YOU and the rest of the live audience. Give yourself a round of applause!
6. You may be on TV!
Lets face it… everyone wants their few seconds of fame! This is your chance. If you don't believe me, look below.
