6 Quotes You Need To Know From Grey's Anatomy
Grey's Anatomy/ABC

I'm completely obsessed with the show Grey's Anatomy and I will not deny it. Not only is it a fantastic show but I always find quotes that help me get through life. While re-watching all 12 seasons, I have found these quotes to be the most relevant to life.

1. "At some point, you have to make a decision. Boundaries don’t keep other people out. They fence you in. Life is messy. That’s how we’re made. So, you can waste your lives drawing lines. Or you can live your life crossing them." Meredith Grey, Season 1 Episode 2

I draw lines in my life. I will give a little piece at a time and see what happens. I am so afraid of letting people in because I can easily be hurt. However, this quote is one that I have tried to live by so that I can let people in. We are made to be in community with each other which means not drawing lines.

2. "Sometimes it's good to be scared. It means you still have something to lose."-Richard Webber, Season 4 Episode 10

I hate whenever I have a time in life where I feel scared of what could come of my decisions. I am constantly thinking ahead. When I heard Richard Webber say this, I automatically knew it would become on of my favorites because it reminded me it is okay to be scared and that sometimes we need that fear.

3. "Have some fire. Be unstoppable. Be a force of nature. Be better than anyone here and don't give a damn about what anyone thinks." Cristina Yang, Season 4 Episode 15

This is by far my favorite Cristina Yang quote. I tend to be one who likes to blend in the background. I will absolutely lead things and be involved but when it comes to social situations, I want to hide. This quote reminds me that I have a fire and passion that makes me unstoppable. Why limit myself when the possibilities are endless?

4. "At the end of the day, the fact that we have the courage to still be standing is reason enough to celebrate." Meredith Grey, Season 2 Episode 9

I am always looking for the good. And while I do believe there is always some good in every day, I know it is also impossible to never have the bad. This quote reminds me that at the points where life is tough, celebrate the small wins whether that is getting out of bed or being social. These small steps are actually courageous moves.

5. "The scars you bear are the signs of a competitor. You’re in a lion fight. Just because you didn’t win doesn’t mean you don’t know how to roar." Richard Weber, Season 4 Episode 12
I think a lot about scars- both physical and emotional. I have one physical scar on my stomach from a surgery that took place almost 5 years ago, yet I still remember back to most days. This quote reminds me that I am not going to win every single step right away but in the overall picture, I am strong and I am a fighter.

6. "She’s my person. If I murdered someone, she’s the person I’d call to help me drag the corpse across the living room floor. She’s my person." Cristina Yang, Season 3 Episode 16

This quote can be summed up in just a few words. Everybody needs a person in their life. I am lucky to have such a wonderful person. She knows what to say to be helpful and we balance each other out well. All I have to do is give one look or say a couple words and she knows exactly what I am thinking. I cannot imagine going through life without having my person around and I am so thankful this show demonstrated the importance of this role!

There are probably a billion more quotes that I connect with on daily basis but these 6 are ones that I come back to all the time. I cannot wait until Season 13 starts on September 22nd. Be ready for all the Grey's references, because it is not just a show, but a way of life.

I've lived a whole 21 years with an RBF (Resting Bitch Face), so naturally, I go through most of these struggles on a daily basis.

And before you ask, yes I'm fine. No, I'm not mad. This is just my face, so take it or leave it! To those of you who have been #blessed with an RBF, you'll probably relate to these more than you'd like to:

What's up Asshat,

I've composed a list of things that I wish upon you, and they're harsh and cruel. These things are things that I wouldn't wish upon my worst of enemies, not even that Starbuck's barista who always screws up my order, not even him. You fall into a whole other category of hate. You surpass Starbucks barista. Congratulations, I'm actually a pretty nice person, making you worthy of every single bit of torture I wish upon you. What are these things I wish upon you you might ask?

Throughout school, the theater department has always been my go-to place with go-to people when I need advice, a dance party, or just someone to listen to me vent.

You never know what's going to happen when you're dealing with theatre or what kind of characters you'll encounter. We have too much fun doing anything! One time in my senior year acting class, we spent an entire class period watching Bob's Burgers, and it was the greatest class period ever.
