Being a woman isn't always easy, and every now and then we just need a little inspiration to make it through the week. We all need a motivator. Whether it's family, friends, pets, food, music, yourself, etc, we all need something that encourages us to do our best and succeed in whatever is laid out before us. Whether a powerful motivator currently exists in your life or not, these quotes should spark some inspiration and dispense a sense of comfort in your every-day life.

1. "Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim." -Nora Ephron

This quote allows you to become aware that even though there will be obstacles and tough times in your lifetime that have the ability to bring you down, you have the power to not let it effect you in a negative way. You have the power to rise above anything that stands in the way of your success, and you have the power to remain strong and resilient by turning whatever life throws at you into something positive.

2. "Strong women wear their pain like stilettos. No matter how much it hurts, all you see is the beauty of it." -Anonymous

We all now how much of a pain it is to put on heels and go out. It's a love-hate relationship. We love how pretty and glamorous we feel, except we hate the pain and blisters that come with it. However, we push through this pain. We keep the damn heels on and pretend like nothing is bothering us, because we're strong enough to handle it. No matter the pain you're going through, just pretend like it's a pair of heels. Wear your strength everyday, and turn whatever is tearing you down into something beautiful.

3. "A successful woman is one who can build a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at her" -Anonymous

True success is becoming successful when no one thought you could. It comes from building yourself up when others tried to convince you that you were weak. Being successful is becoming the opposite of what everyone else tried to tell you that you were. Every woman has this capability; therefore you must always remember who you are, and that "people throw rocks at things that shine" (Taylor Swift said that one).

4. “She made broken look beautiful
and strong look invincible.
She walked with the Universe
on her shoulders and made it
look like a pair of wings.”
― Ariana Dancu

Much like the stiletto quote, this one let's every woman know that nothing can bring her down. No matter what comes your way, you still have the ability to make everything admiral. The beauty of your strength makes you shine, and trust me, everyone can see it.

5. “With the spread of conformity and image-driven superficiality, the allure of an individuated woman in full possession of herself and her powers will prove irresistible. We were born for plenitude and inner fulfillment.” -Elizabeth Prioleau

With today's mainstream media projecting a certain image upon women, it's difficult to remain true to yourself. Although we have made tremendous progress as a society in women's rights, some media still projects the idea that women must look a certain way and cannot be independent. However, it's critical to disregard this conformity and believe that you can take on anything you set your mind to, and you CAN do it on your own.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
