What a year it's been thus far in 2016. For better or for worse, it's been a year to remember. With that being said, 2016 has given us the truly wonderful gift of endless Halloween costume ideas—what luck! Check out these six festive get-ups that will surely get you on the "Best Costume" list.
1. Stranger Things
Obviously, this Netflix original took off like wild fire this summer, so why not pay tribute to the BRILLIANT show by dressing up like Joyce from Stranger Things?Christmas lights and all.
2. Donald Trump
I mean this one is kind of a no-brainer, but if Republican candidate Donald Trump did not cross your mind as someone to impersonate on Halloween this year (I mean it's quite simple, isn't it?), I think you might want to give this a look. To be honest, all you really need to perfect is the hair.
3. Simone Biles
To all my sporty gals out there, this is for you! Embrace your inner-Olympian this Halloween by dressing up as Summer Olympics all-star, Simone Biles. All you need is a red leotard and fake medal (gold, obvi!). Warning: You may feel prone to prancing around and attempting stunts at your Halloween party--refrain from this!
4. Pokémon Go! Trainer
Thank God that this is a fad. I did not partake in this interesting activity, but nonetheless, it is an important part of Summer 2016 culture. Dress up in your BEST trainer attire and don't forget to create your own Pokéball. Best of all, it's Halloween, so no pressure to to catch 'em all!
5. SnapChat Filters
Calling all basic ladies! This is an easy costume that everyone who uses Snap Chat will recognize. Which is practically EVERY millennial on the planet, right? Pick your favorite filter, whether it's puppy dog or throwing up a rainbow. Perhaps, some adorable dog ears and a make-shift puppy tongue attached to a popsicle stick. #NoFilter
6. "Becky With the Good Hair"
This one could be a bit of a stretch, but I have no doubt that anyone who pays even the smallest bit of attention to pop culture would understand it. Go get your hair all dolled up at a blow-out bar and then rock some jeans, and a simple t-shirt with a name tag that says "Becky." Maybe hold a hair brush as well.
There you have it, kiddos. Some great Halloween costume ideas from none other than perhaps the most bizarre year in a millennial's life. Have fun, be safe and eat an absurd amount of candy!
